How to find the information

Connecticut property-tax collection is municipal. This directory groups places under the nine planning regions used as Census county equivalents, rather than the eight legacy counties. The planning-region council is not the collector. Identify the municipality and any separate borough, fire or special taxing district for the parcel. The Office website link opens OPM’s Municipal Tax Collectors page and its dated Tax Collector List for local routing.

Waterbury Tax Collection publishes a dedicated Real Estate & Personal Property contact at 203-574-6815, distinct from the general Tax Collector and Motor Vehicle lines. Ask this unit for the real-property bill/account history, existing delinquency report or current payoff for the requested parcel and years.

Municipal collector contacts in this planning region (state directory dated October 7, 2026; the reviewed example uses its published department line): Ansonia: 203-736-5910; Beacon Falls: 203-723-5244; Bethlehem: 203-266-7510; Bristol: 860-584-6271; Cheshire: 203-271-6630; Derby: 203-736-1459; Middlebury: 203-758-1373; Naugatuck: 203-720-7051; Oxford: 203-888-2543; Plymouth: 860-585-4037; Prospect: 203-758-4461; Seymour: 203-888-0517; Shelton: 203-924-1555; Southbury: 203-262-0654; Thomaston: 860-283-4271; Waterbury: 203-574-6815; Watertown: 860-945-5232; Wolcott: 203-879-8100; Woodbury: 203-263-3912.

To obtain records, request an existing delinquent real-estate report, account ledger/payment history or parcel payoff from the responsible collector. Specify the municipality, parcel or account identifier, tax years, desired as-of date and inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask about record coverage, additional district accounts and copy, certification or extract fees. A tax-sale notice or recorded lien does not certify today’s unpaid balance.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Naugatuck Valley Planning Region for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

The main collector number is 203-574-6810; motor-vehicle inquiries use a different line. The published page describes installment billing and related tax services. No native real-estate query was submitted, and a complete online delinquency export was not confirmed. Waterbury is a municipal example in Naugatuck Valley, not the region’s tax authority. Municipal contacts outside the example come from the dated state directory and were not individually reconfirmed on each local website. The state list also has a separate borough section; special/fire district collection may require an additional office. Reviewed status concerns access guidance, not taxpayer liability. No taxpayer rows are included.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
