PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Huerfano County, Colorado
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Huerfano County Treasurer / Property Tax Records
Official county tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
Treasurer publishes separate 2024 delinquent-real-property notices and 2025 real-estate tax rolls payable in 2026, the latter organized into name ranges. It also lists a Certificate of Taxes Due Request. Ask Treasury for an existing unpaid account ledger or report matching the needed years.
For an existing delinquent real-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, Statement of Taxes Due or dated tax-lien redemption amount, provide the account/parcel/schedule reference, tax years and desired as-of date. Ask whether current delinquency, sold or county-held liens, later endorsements, interest and advertising/redemption costs are included and whether recent payments have posted. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification, research and extract fees. Assessor valuations, loan foreclosures and dated sale lists do not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Huerfano County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
The 2025 tax roll is not a delinquency list, and the 2024 delinquency publication is a dated snapshot. Online Point & Pay needs account/schedule information and does not itself establish a complete unpaid-account database. Linked owner-list files were not downloaded. No taxpayer query, account registration, CAPTCHA completion, public-records request, bidder registration, upload or payment was submitted. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.
