PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Garfield County, Colorado
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Garfield County Treasurer / Property Tax Records
Official county tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
Treasurer publishes an account/property-tax search and says it covers payment records, current/delinquent charges, special assessments, reports and statements. Enter only one criterion initially; the county says Continue provides public access when a login page appears. Request a dated ledger or payoff from 970-945-6382 if online details are insufficient.
For an existing delinquent real-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, Statement of Taxes Due or dated tax-lien redemption amount, provide the account/parcel/schedule reference, tax years and desired as-of date. Ask whether current delinquency, sold or county-held liens, later endorsements, interest and advertising/redemption costs are included and whether recent payments have posted. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification, research and extract fees. Assessor valuations, loan foreclosures and dated sale lists do not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Garfield County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
The separate payment page says electronic payments post by the close of the next business day and gives specific prior-year lien payment limits. That payment guidance is separate from the collection-record view. No taxpayer query, account registration, CAPTCHA completion, public-records request, bidder registration, upload or payment was submitted. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.
