How to find the information

The current Tax Collector page supplies the tax counter and a Review/Pay Tax Bills service. The linked bill entry uses Parcel/Account Number for secured/unsecured bills. Ask the office at 831-454-2510 for existing unpaid history or a delinquency report beyond the bill view.

For an existing delinquent secured-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, bill copy or dated redemption amount, provide the parcel/account/assessment reference, fiscal years, desired as-of date and inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which current, supplemental, defaulted and payment-plan amounts are included, whether recent payments have posted, and whether any power-to-sell or sale status applies. Confirm record-copy, certification, research or extract fees. A valuation roll, recorded lien, payment screen or dated sale inventory does not certify today’s unpaid balance.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Santa Cruz County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

The older directory link landed on the Auditor-Controller homepage and its 454-2500 phone; this guide uses the current Tax Collector line ending in 2510. Assessor Parcel Info is a separate service. No taxpayer query, account registration, CAPTCHA verification, records-request submission, upload or payment was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
