PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Plumas County, California
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Plumas County Tax Collector / Property Tax Records
Official tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
Treasurer/Tax Collector links Public Tax Inquiry & Payments to a Plumas-specific MBC entry, separately from Parcel Search and GovPayNet court fees. Use the tax inquiry and its Fee Parcel/Assessment distinction, or request the existing unpaid account ledger from the Tax Collector at 520 Main Street, Room 203, Quincy.
For an existing delinquent secured-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, bill copy or dated redemption amount, provide the parcel/account/assessment reference, fiscal years, desired as-of date and inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which current, supplemental, defaulted and payment-plan amounts are included, whether recent payments have posted, and whether any power-to-sell or sale status applies. Confirm record-copy, certification, research or extract fees. A valuation roll, recorded lien, payment screen or dated sale inventory does not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Plumas County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
ParcelQuest is an assessment/property reference. Centralized Collections includes court fines and delinquent traffic citations, which must not be represented as delinquent land taxes. No taxpayer query, account registration, CAPTCHA verification, records-request submission, upload or payment was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.
