Official tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
Property Tax Payment says to use only one search criterion at a time and use Fee Parcel to locate bills associated with a parcel. Assessment and fee references are on the upper-left of the tax bill. Legal Notices separately lists default, impending-default, power-to-sell and excess-proceeds records.
For an existing delinquent secured-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, bill copy or dated redemption amount, provide the parcel/account/assessment reference, fiscal years, desired as-of date and inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which current, supplemental, defaulted and payment-plan amounts are included, whether recent payments have posted, and whether any power-to-sell or sale status applies. Confirm record-copy, certification, research or extract fees. A valuation roll, recorded lien, payment screen or dated sale inventory does not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Mono County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
The monthly Easy Smart Pay service is separate from Tax Inquiry. A legal-notice category or older-year default publication does not certify a current unpaid balance or countywide extract. No taxpayer query, account registration, CAPTCHA verification, records-request submission, upload or payment was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.
