PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Mariposa County, California
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Mariposa County Tax Collector / Property Tax Records
Official tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
View or Pay Taxes Online describes 12-digit Assessment Number, 12-digit Fee Parcel or property-address search. A single Assessment shows that assessment; Fee Parcel brings up associated bills. The county warns that associated unsecured bills may not be owed by the property owner and directs responsibility questions to 209-966-2621 or taxoffice@mariposacounty.org.
For an existing delinquent secured-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, bill copy or dated redemption amount, provide the parcel/account/assessment reference, fiscal years, desired as-of date and inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which current, supplemental, defaulted and payment-plan amounts are included, whether recent payments have posted, and whether any power-to-sell or sale status applies. Confirm record-copy, certification, research or extract fees. A valuation roll, recorded lien, payment screen or dated sale inventory does not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Mariposa County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
The county says no owner information is provided online. Do not attribute every associated unsecured bill to the landowner. Published instructions and linked MBC entry were reviewed without querying taxpayer records. No taxpayer query, account registration, CAPTCHA verification, records-request submission, upload or payment was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.
