How to find the information

The Secured Property Tax Information Request offers specific questions about current unpaid balances, defaulted tax base/year, supplemental bills and redemption plans. The separate general guidance distinguishes current-year amounts from delinquent secured amounts using the Assessor’s Identification Number (AIN). For an existing report or payment ledger, use the department Public Records Request contact at publicrecords@ttc.lacounty.gov, 213-584-1571.

For an existing delinquent secured-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, bill copy or dated redemption amount, provide the parcel/account/assessment reference, fiscal years, desired as-of date and inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which current, supplemental, defaulted and payment-plan amounts are included, whether recent payments have posted, and whether any power-to-sell or sale status applies. Confirm record-copy, certification, research or extract fees. A valuation roll, recorded lien, payment screen or dated sale inventory does not certify today’s unpaid balance.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Los Angeles County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

The published current-year lookup window is October through June; delinquent secured lookup is unavailable in July under the stated guidance. Tax-information inquiries, public-records requests and auction/Chapter 8 records are different routes. No form was submitted. No taxpayer query, account registration, CAPTCHA verification, records-request submission, upload or payment was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.
