How to find the information

The official bill-service Help describes searching by property address, Assessor Tax Number (ATN), File Number or Bill Number. For similar street names it recommends the correct city or All Cities, and separating street name from street type. Contact the Tax Collector for current amounts and existing unpaid history when bill views are incomplete.

For an existing delinquent secured-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, bill copy or dated redemption amount, provide the parcel/account/assessment reference, fiscal years, desired as-of date and inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which current, supplemental, defaulted and payment-plan amounts are included, whether recent payments have posted, and whether any power-to-sell or sale status applies. Confirm record-copy, certification, research or extract fees. A valuation roll, recorded lien, payment screen or dated sale inventory does not certify today’s unpaid balance.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Kern County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

An Assessor Tax Number, file and bill number serve different lookup purposes. A tax-default notation and the annual default publication are different from a later auction inventory. Published Help is not tested result delivery. No taxpayer query, account registration, CAPTCHA verification, records-request submission, upload or payment was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
