PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
El Dorado County, California
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
El Dorado County Tax Collector / Property Tax Records
Official tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
The current department page separates Pay, Print, and View Your Property Taxes from bills created prior to July 2018 and from Publication Notices. Select the service matching the bill date, and request Treasury records for unpaid history or a dated redemption amount not covered by the view.
For an existing delinquent secured-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, bill copy or dated redemption amount, provide the parcel/account/assessment reference, fiscal years, desired as-of date and inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which current, supplemental, defaulted and payment-plan amounts are included, whether recent payments have posted, and whether any power-to-sell or sale status applies. Confirm record-copy, certification, research or extract fees. A valuation roll, recorded lien, payment screen or dated sale inventory does not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for El Dorado County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Tax Defaulted Public Auction Tax Sale and Delinquent Unsecured Taxes have separate routes. Older county directory URLs have moved; an auction list is not every unpaid installment. No taxpayer query, account registration, CAPTCHA verification, records-request submission, upload or payment was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.
