PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Del Norte County, California
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Del Norte County Tax Collector / Property Tax Records
Official tax-records access guidanceHow to find the information
The Tax Collector page identifies maintenance of delinquent abstracts and redemption records. Its View Your Tax Bill page links current statements, while Pay By Credit Card or E-Check separately describes current secured, supplemental and defaulted secured/unsecured payments. Ask for the delinquent abstract or account ledger when a current statement is insufficient.
For an existing delinquent secured-property report, parcel account/payment ledger, bill copy or dated redemption amount, provide the parcel/account/assessment reference, fiscal years, desired as-of date and inspection or electronic-copy format. Ask which current, supplemental, defaulted and payment-plan amounts are included, whether recent payments have posted, and whether any power-to-sell or sale status applies. Confirm record-copy, certification, research or extract fees. A valuation roll, recorded lien, payment screen or dated sale inventory does not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Del Norte County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
The Treasurer page reached from an older directory link is a separate departmental introduction. Unsecured bills are personal liabilities and should not automatically be described as unpaid land taxes. No taxpayer query, account registration, CAPTCHA verification, records-request submission, upload or payment was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.
