PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
Northwest Arctic Borough Finance / Treasurer
Official municipal tax and access guidanceHow to find the information
The Finance page explicitly states that Northwest Arctic Borough does not levy a property tax and maintains no property-tax roll, assessment, property-sale or excess-funds list of that type. Contact Finance through the borough office at 163 Lagoon Street, Kotzebue, to clarify the tax or record being sought.
First confirm whether a municipal property-tax levy and an existing tax record apply to the exact parcel and requested year. Where no levy exists, do not expect a delinquent municipal property-tax roll. For a different tax type or an existing financial record, confirm the responsible office and any inspection/copy fee. A land-title search is a separate task.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Northwest Arctic Borough for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
This published borough statement explains why a borough delinquent-property list is not offered. It does not turn mining payment-in-lieu agreements, utility accounts or ordinary land records into property-tax ledgers. No taxpayer query, account registration, PIN request, records-request submission or payment was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.
