City of Nome / Property Tax account inquiries
Official municipal tax and access guidanceHow to find the information
The City of Nome Property Tax Overview says the city taxes property within city limits and directs tax amounts, assessments and current account status to Taxrequest@nomealaska.org. Request the existing real-property ledger or unpaid report from the city, identifying the parcel and years. The guidance explains that additional bills are sent when an account becomes delinquent.
If a municipal real-property levy applies, request an existing delinquent report, parcel account/payment ledger or statement for the needed tax years and as-of date. Supply a parcel/account ID and exact municipal location if known. Ask about principal, penalties, interest, foreclosure costs and recent payment posting. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification or extract fees. Assessment values, recorded liens and dated sale lists do not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Nome Census Area for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Nome Census Area has no census-area collector. Nome city records do not cover every community or parcel in the census area. Distinguish real property from personal/business property and request current charges rather than relying on an original bill. No taxpayer query, account registration, PIN request, records-request submission or payment was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.
