How to find the information

The borough Finance FAQ explicitly states that the borough does not levy a property tax and consequently does not assess property or track ownership. Use Finance for clarification of borough tax types. For ownership questions the FAQ directs visitors to the Alaska Recorder’s Office rather than a borough assessment roll.

First confirm whether a municipal property-tax levy and an existing tax record apply to the exact parcel and requested year. Where no levy exists, do not expect a delinquent municipal property-tax roll. For a different tax type or an existing financial record, confirm the responsible office and any inspection/copy fee. A land-title search is a separate task.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Lake and Peninsula Borough for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

The no-levy statement is about borough property tax. Confirm the exact city and tax type for a municipal inquiry; raw-fish, bed and other business taxes do not make a borough delinquent real-property roll. No taxpayer query, account registration, PIN request, records-request submission or payment was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
