Official municipal tax and access guidance

How to find the information

The Property Taxes page identifies Finance as the tax-billing office and explains unpaid-tax foreclosure publication and later redemption/disposal. Contact Revenue and Collections for an existing unpaid account ledger or the relevant foreclosure record, specifying the tax year and as-of date.

If a municipal real-property levy applies, request an existing delinquent report, parcel account/payment ledger or statement for the needed tax years and as-of date. Supply a parcel/account ID and exact municipal location if known. Ask about principal, penalties, interest, foreclosure costs and recent payment posting. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification or extract fees. Assessment values, recorded liens and dated sale lists do not certify today’s unpaid balance.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Kodiak Island Borough for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

The published foreclosure list concerns the prior year and a defined legal stage. A later sealed-bid or public-outcry offering is a different record from all unpaid taxes. The Assessing levy roll determines bills but is not payment history. No taxpayer query, account registration, PIN request, records-request submission or payment was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
