PROPERTY TAX RESEARCH, MADE SIMPLER
Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, Alaska
Where to look, which office to contact, and how to request records.
Where to obtain records
City of Pelican Treasurer / municipal property-tax records
Official municipal tax and access guidanceHow to find the information
For property in Pelican, contact the City Treasurer through City Hall. The Finance page publishes a July 9, 2025 delinquent-accounts notice covering utility and property-tax revenues and warns that it may not reflect later payments or status changes. Ask for the underlying tax account ledger and distinguish utility charges.
If a municipal real-property levy applies, request an existing delinquent report, parcel account/payment ledger or statement for the needed tax years and as-of date. Supply a parcel/account ID and exact municipal location if known. Ask about principal, penalties, interest, foreclosure costs and recent payment posting. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification or extract fees. Assessment values, recorded liens and dated sale lists do not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Hoonah-Angoon Census Area for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
County-specific notes
Hoonah-Angoon is a census area, not a tax-collecting borough. Pelican records cover its city jurisdiction only. The proposed Xunaa incorporation election is described by the state election office as paused; this guide does not replace existing routes with a proposed borough. The dated mixed-account notice is not a current census-area delinquency database. No taxpayer query, account registration, PIN request, records-request submission or payment was made. No taxpayer rows or owner-list attachments are included.
