City of Cordova Clerk / Property Tax; separate city offices for Valdez and Whittier
Official municipal tax and access guidanceHow to find the information
Chugach Census Area has no census-area collector. For Cordova, use the City Clerk/Accounts Receivable office at 601 First Street. The property-tax page separates assessment rolls sorted by owner, parcel and street from foreclosure public notices. Request the unpaid account ledger rather than assuming a certified assessment roll shows delinquency. For Valdez use city Finance at 907-834-3475; for Whittier use City Hall at 907-472-2327.
If a municipal real-property levy applies, request an existing delinquent report, parcel account/payment ledger or statement for the needed tax years and as-of date. Supply a parcel/account ID and exact municipal location if known. Ask about principal, penalties, interest, foreclosure costs and recent payment posting. Confirm inspection, electronic-copy, certification or extract fees. Assessment values, recorded liens and dated sale lists do not certify today’s unpaid balance.
What to ask for
“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Chugach Census Area for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”
Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.
