How to find the information

Open the Jackson state-inventory PDF and use Find to locate an assessed name, parcel ID or sale-certificate identifier. The state transcript omits physical street addresses and covers state-held property rather than every unpaid county bill. For local property research, use the Office website button to open the county’s AssuranceWeb form. Choose Tax Year, then search by Name, PIN, Company, Parcel, Account, Subdivision or Address. For a name lookup, use Starts With or Contains as offered. Inspect the correct record and tax year, and ask the county office at 256-574-9260 for a current collection balance or an existing countywide delinquent-account file.

What to ask for

“I am looking for publicly available delinquent real-property tax records for Jackson County for [tax year]. Which office maintains these records? Is there an online search or downloadable list? If not, how can I request a copy, and what fees apply?”

Have the property address, parcel number, owner name, and tax year ready when searching for a particular property.

County-specific notes

This source covers property in state inventory following a tax sale. Absence from it does not mean a property’s county taxes are paid. A historical amount or sale entry is not a current payoff balance. County tax-lien auctions, redemption records and current bill searches may cover different records. The county-specific link and PDF response headers were checked; the PDF’s taxpayer contents were not downloaded or individually verified. The county-branded property form and its Tax Year/search choices were inspected without submitting a taxpayer query. An unpaid-only filter or complete countywide export was not established.

An independent directory, not a government agency.

We help you locate records; we do not store taxpayer lists, determine delinquency, collect taxes, or sell tax liens. Confirm balances, payment status, deadlines, and fees with the responsible office. A tax-sale list is not a complete list of delinquent accounts.
